If Roger Shawyer's microwave EmDrive really worked (it doesn't, nor does it take someone with an advanced degree in relativistic electrodynamics to know that, but for the sake of this blog post let us fantasize that the EmDrive works), why doesn't he build one using more energetic particles, in order to create higher force? If he can build amazing hovercraft with microwaves, what about a device driven by x-rays, which are orders of magnitude more energetic?
It is hilarious that this is getting recent press, because it is so obviously fake.
