Sporadic Blogging This Past Week

With all apologies to regular readers, I must admit I have not been blogging heavily this last week. As many are aware, I am an "amateur blogger," i.e. I don't get any money for this, so I work a day-job (which I happen to enjoy immensely) and write posts during lunch-breaks...when I have them.

This last week I have not had many lunch-breaks. I'm working on some research I can't really discuss because it hasn't been publicly disclosed yet (I accidentally wrote a blog about it last year that the lawyers told me to take down and delete immediately) and I'd get in major legal trouble if I broke the word on it. In any case, I've spent the last three weeks with my nose in texbooks and the last week I've been vomiting everything I have learned (which isn't much) into a report we are hoping will turn into several hundred thousand dollars in government funding which will hopefully give us momentum to turn that into several million dollars of technology transfer funding, which will hopefully give us the seed money to turn what we've got into the biggest game changer in energy storage since Ben Franklin called his Leyden Jars "batteries."

Or it could amount to nothing.

And when I have had free time, I have spent it working on an upcoming concept disclosure meeting with the lawyers/execs for my powered exoskeleton design. So, I've been uber-busy with that, and depressingly couldn't liveblog the moon-bombing, nor could I write about the space-clown returning to Earth. I barely touched the evidence that removing thimerosal from vaccines in 1992 has not not slowed the increase in autism in Europe.

Hopefully this'll be off my hands in a week or so, in which case, I plan a "NASA needs me, again" superpost explaining how their plan to privatize space is the same as their "ingenious" plan to privatize the Postal Service to save money, and how the $150 million mission to bomb the moon did not include a TV-friendly explosion of fire and debris, and that fact alone proves NASA has no P.R. strategy whatsoever. Watching a roomful of suits cheer as nothing noticeable happened was about as exciting as watching...a roomful of suits cheer as nothing noticeable happened.
